                                     Lane Closure Extended – North Arthur Ashe Boulevard

WHAT:  Lane Closure
 
WHEN: Extended till November 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

WHERE: N Arthur Ashe Boulevard between West Leigh Street and Robin Hood Road (in the 2nd voter district)

BACKGROUND: Due to unforeseen complications, to allow utility to be installed within Arthur Ashe Blvd, its closure will be extended until 11/3.  At that time, a single lane will be opened, with full opening happening on 11/7.

WHEN: October 27 through October 30 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. (daily)

WHERE: Mosby Street between P and Q streets (in the 7th voter district)

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to complete the last installation of street murals near Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School This work is part of the Office of Equitable Transit and Mobility’s ‘Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper’ Program aimed at making temporary enhancements to improve pedestrian safety while permanent solutions are developed and fundedThis work will complete the LQC mural paintings on this corridor.

WHEN: Starting October 21 and ending November 5

WHERE: Broad Rock Road between Prince Hall and 34th Street (in the 9th voter district)

 BACKGROUND: Complete closure of Broad Rock Road between Prince Hall and 34th Street to allow utility work necessary for the city to continue construction of James River Branch Trail.  Detour will be posted.

  • Marshall Street between 25th Street and 21st Street (in the 7th voter district)
  • Hermitage Road between Laburnum Avenue and Westbrook Avenue (in the 3rd voter district)
  • Westbrook Avenue between Hermitage Road and Brook Road (in the 3rd voter district)
  • Azalea Avenue between Brook Road and Chamberlayne Avenue (in the 3rd voter district)
  • Chamberlayne Avenue between Azalea Avenue and Laburnum Avenue (in the 3rd voter district)

WHAT:  Lane Closure
 
WHEN: October 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: River Road between Bridgeway Road and Chatham Square (in the 1st voter district)

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed, and flaggers will be used to allow Verizon to replace a pole and restore power lines.  Residents will have access to their properties within closures.
