BACKGROUND:  The right lane in the area listed above will be closed to allow the contractor to install sanitary sewer lines. Note: one lane will be open to thru traffic.

BACKGROUND: As a part a communication line restoration project at the intersection of Forest Hill Avenue and Roanoke Street, Verizon will be fixing communication poles and lines at the intersection. The travel lanes through this intersection will be closed during this process. Please follow the detour.

BACKGROUND: As part of the HSIP Pedestrian Improvements at Signalized Intersections Phase 2 project, the contractor will be repairing sections of concrete sidewalk, and installing pedestrian signal equipment. The curb lane and sidewalk and median lane will be temporarily closed during this construction process.

RVA Illuminates 2023

Please note the road closures around Kanawha Plaza on Friday as RVA kicks off the holiday season with the spectacular RVA Illuminates!

South 7th Street – 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

East Canal Street 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Parking is not permitted during the times the roads are closed.
