WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Thursday, June 6, 9 a.m. to noon

WHERE: North Arthur Ashe Boulevard between Stuart and Kensington avenues

BACKGROUND: The northbound side will be closed during HVAC work at 421 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd.

WHEN:  Tuesday, May 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE: East Marshall Street between Cedar and 20th streets

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to repair the pavement. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the detour signs.

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 31 and ending at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 2

WHERE:

·         East Marshall Street between 10th and 11th streets

·         10th Street between East Broad and East Marshall streets (located in the 6th Council District)

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to safely demolish a portion of the VCU Children’s Pavilion located at 1001 East Marshall Street. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the detour signs.

Street Closure - 9th Street

                                                 Street Closure – 9^th Street

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Tuesday, May 28 thru Friday, June 28

WHERE:  9^th Street between Grace Street and Broad Street

BACKGROUND: As part of the General Assembly Building project, a pedestrian tunnel is being constructed beneath 9^th street. The work will impact travel thru the end of June. The closure will include:

·         Northbound traffic on 9^th Street will be redirected west to Grace Street

·         Eastbound lanes of Grace Street will end at 8^th Street; northbound traffic should use 7^th Street and southbound traffic will be diverted on 8^th Street

On-street parking will not be permissible on Grace Street between 8^th and 9^th streets.
