WHERE: In the 6th Voter District

·         The intersection of East Grace street and North 4th street

·         The intersection of East Grace street and North 5th street

BACKGROUND: The contractor will be closing one lane at a time to install planters and do street repairs, in the areas listed above.

·         The intersection of Broad Rock Boulevard and Walmsley Boulevard

BACKGROUND: As a part of the HSIP Pedestrian improvement project, the contractor will be repairing sections of concrete sidewalk, installing pedestrian signal equipment and constructing improvements within the median in the area listed above.

WHEN: Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: In the 8th Voter District

·         The intersection of Broad Rock Boulevard and Warwick Road

·         The intersection of Broad Rock Boulevard and Walmsley Boulevard

·         The intersection of Bells Road and Castlewood Road

BACKGROUND: As a part of the HSIP Pedestrian improvement project, the contractor will be repairing sections of concrete sidewalk in the areas listed above.

DPW’s portfolio comprises a wide array of services to include leaf collection; street, sidewalk and alley maintenance; trash collection; recycling; grass cutting;  graffiti removal; parking enforcement; urban forestry; street signs; traffic signals and pavement markings and civil engineering. Richmond Jazz Festival Street Closures and No Parking Zones

Several streets will be closed and “No Parking” zones established in the Maymont neighborhood this weekend for the Richmond Jazz Festival.

The following streets will be CLOSED with NO PARKING in effect from 9 a.m., SaturdayAugust 12 until 10:30 p.m., Sunday, August 13:

 

·       Hampton Street between Amelia Street and Kansas Avenue;

·       Georgia Avenue between Colorado and Kansas avenues, and;

·       South Meadow Street between Colorado and Kansas avenues.

Lane Closure – Mayo Bridge

BACKGROUND: There will be alternating lane closures to allow the VDOT contractor to perform soil boring tests along the Mayo bridge.
