                                          Lane Closure – Various Northside Locations

WHAT:  Lane Closure
 
WHEN:  Monday, November 29 through Friday, December 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

WHERE: Located in the 2nd, 3rd, 6th voter districts:

·         The intersection of Belvidere and Clay streets

·         The intersection of Canal and 10th streets

·         The intersection of Meadowbridge Road and Carolina Avenue, and

·         Along the following corridors:

o   Brookland Park Boulevard

o   Brook Road

o   Laburnum Avenue

o   North Avenue

o   4th Avenue

BACKGROUND:  There will be intermittent lane closures in the areas listed above for tree pruning. This work is part of the Systemic Sight Distance Improvements at Signalized Intersections Project to improve traffic signal visibility and help reduce crashes.

WHERE: Main Street between Nicholson and Orleans streets (located in the 7th voter district)

BACKGROUND:  The south sidewalk and curb lane will be temporarily closed to install traffic signal conduits. This work is part of the traffic signal system expansion project.

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 22 and ending at Noon on Wednesday, November 24

WHERE: Main Street between Williamsburg Avenue and Dock Street (located in the 7th voter district)

BACKGROUND:  The area will be closed to install traffic signal conduits across Main Street between Williamsburg Avenue and the Dock Street roundabout. This work is part of the traffic signal system expansion project.

WHEN:  Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, November 19 and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday, November 22

WHERE: The following streets (in the 6th voter district):

·         WB Broad Street between College and 9th streets

·         EB Broad Street between 8th and 12th streets

·         10th Street between Broad and Marshall streets

·         11th Street between Broad and Marshall streets

BACKGROUND:  The areas listed above will be closed to remove the construction tower crane from the Children’s Pavilion located at 1001 East Marshall Street. Please follow the detour signs.

Note: I-95 exit traffic will be routed from Broad to College to 13th to Duvall to 10th Street
