WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  9 a.m. Monday, January 6 through 4 p.m. Friday, January 10
WHERE: North Jefferson Street between West Main and West Franklin streets
VOTER DISTRICT: 6th Voter District:
BACKGROUND: The above mentioned area will be closed while a crane is utilized to perform work on the roof of the Jefferson Hotel..

Street/Lane Closure – Intersection Broad and 10th streets, 10th Street and GRTC bus lane on Broad Street

WHAT:  Street/Lane Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 7 p.m. Friday, December 20 and ending at 9 a.m. Sunday, December 22
WHERE: The following areas will be impacted:
·         Intersection of Marshall and 10th Streets (midnight Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday and on Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.)
·         10th Street between Marshall and Broad streets
·         Westbound GRTC bus lane on Broad Street between 12th and 9th streets

BACKGROUND: The above areas will be closed while a crane is mobilized for work at the VCU Children’s Pavilion construction site.

WHERE: North 8th Street - 6th Voter District:
BACKGROUND: 8th Street between Franklin and Grace streets will be closed while a crane operates at the Verizon building at 700 E. Grace St..

                                            Street Closure –  Dock Street

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17 and ending at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18

WHERE: Dock Street between Pear and 22nd streets (located in the 7th voter district)

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to replace the railroad grade crossing at 2803 Dock Street. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the detour signs.

WHEN:  Thursday, December 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: North 25th Street between East Broad and East Grace streets (located in the 7th voter district)
BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to allow a crane to remove a dangerous tree from 2401 East Broad Street. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the detour signs.

WHERE: North 7th Street - 6th Voter District:
BACKGROUND: North 7th Street between Franklin and Grace streets will be closed while a crane operates at the Verizon building at 700 E. Grace St. The sidewalk along the west side of 7th Street will remain open to pedestrians. Traffic control signage will be posted.

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Wednesday, December 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: West Broad Street between Hermitage Road and DMV Drive (located in the 2nd Voter District)

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to allow a crane to remove a tree located at 2000 West Broad Street. The detour will be for westbound traffic only. Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the traffic control signage.

Note: The GRTC PULSE bus lane will remain open.
