WHEN: December 18 to December 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (daily)

WHERE: Hanover Avenue in the 4400 and the 4500 blocks    

 BACKGROUND: There will be alternating lane closures for paving.

WHEN: December 18 through December 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (daily)

WHERE: 3017 Williamsburg Ave between South 31st Street and the intersection of E. Main Street (in the 7th voter district)

BACKGROUND: The closure affects the two westbound lanes of Williamsburg Avenue between South 31st Street and the intersection of E. Main Street. 

Drivers entering the city should use the Nicholson Street detour or E. Franklin Street for these two days.

 BACKGROUND: Emergency Lane closure by Richmond Police due to a hit and run.

Officers were called to the 5600 Block of Grove Avenue for a reported hit and run.

The Richmond Police Department is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. The P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones also may be used. All Crime Stoppers reporting methods are anonymous.

WHEN: Starting at 8 a.m. December 15 and ending at 5 p.m. December 19

WHERE: Broad Rock Road between Prince Hall and 36th Street

 BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to allow the contractor to install storm sewer utilities necessary for the construction of the James River Branch Trail Project. Detours will be in place.

BACKGROUND: There will be intermittent lane closures along Leigh Street (in both directions) to make repairs to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge. Please note: the closure will not be in effect from December 22 through January 6, 2026.
