Lane Closure EXTENDED - Various Locations

WHAT:  Lane Closure
 
WHEN: In progress till November 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (daily)

WHERE: In the 2, 3, and 7 voter districts:

For conduit and junction box Installation:

-       Along 25th Street between Broad Street and Grace Street

-       Along Marshall Street between 25th Street and 21st Street

-       Along 21st Street between Marshall Street and Broad Street

For paving and sidewalk repair:

-       Along Hermitage Road between Laburnum Avenue and Westbrook Avenue

-       Along Westbrook Avenue between Hermitage Road and Brook Road

-       Along Jackson Street between 1st Street and 3rd Street

-       Along 25th Street between Broad Street and Grace Street

-       -Along Marshall Street between 25th Street and 21st Street

BACKGROUND: There will be intermittent lane and sidewalk closures during this process. Motorists and pedestrians must pay special attention to the construction signage.

The City of Richmond Department of Public Works (DPW) is one of only 195 currently accredited public works agencies in the United States. DPW’s portfolio comprises a wide array of services to include leaf collection; street, sidewalk and alley maintenance; trash collection; recycling; grass cutting; graffiti removal; urban forestry; street signs; traffic signals and pavement markings and civil engineering. In addition, DPW maintains upkeep on most city buildings; issues permits for working in the city’s right-of-way; manages the RVA Bike Share and scooter program.
