WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: 9th Street between Broad and Grace streets (located in the 6th voter district)
BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to allow the Department of Public Utilities to install water service to the General Assembly Building. Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the detour signs.

The City of Richmond Department of Public Works (DPW) is one of only 146 accredited public works agencies in the United States. DPW’s portfolio comprises a wide array of services to include leaf collection; street, sidewalk and alley maintenance;  trash collection; recycling;  urban forestry;  signs; signals and pavement markings;  grass cutting;  graffiti removal;  and parking.
