Work at N. Meadow and W. Broad to close lanes in May

Starting the week of May 5, weather permitting, the Department of Public Utilities’ contractor will be making drainage repairs to the existing storm drainage infrastructure at the intersection of N. Meadow and W. Broad streets. N. Meadow will be closed from the south side of Broad to the alley to through traffic. Southbound lane traffic on the north side of Broad will be limited to right and left turns only. The parking lane and outside eastbound lane of Broad will be closed for two to three days during construction. The project is estimated to take approximately 15 days to complete.

Construction will consist of installation of a manhole on N. Meadow, two drop inlets replaced, several storm drain lines installed, and pavement restored. Cavitations on Broad at the intersection will be excavated, secured and filled before the street is paved. Completion of all work is expected by May 29.

Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated. Questions or concerns should be addressed to Howard Glenn, Storm Water Operations Manager at telephone 646-1920.
