WHEN: January 20 through January 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (daily)

WHERE: 7th Street between East Cary Street and East Byrd Street (in the 6th voter district)

BACKGROUND: Coastal Fiber will be performing an open cut installation of fiber optic cable. The parking lane from 7th Street and Cary Street to the intersection of 7th Street and Byrd Street will be closed.

RPD is to assist with the traffic control at the intersection of Byrd and 7th Streets.

WHERE: Forest Hill Avenue and Bliley Road (in the 4th voter district)

BACKGROUND: Removing existing signal poles and mast arms to replace around the intersection as part of a traffic signal replacement installation project at the intersection of Forest Avenue and Bliley Road.

There will be intermittent lane closures during this process. Therefore, motorist must pay special attention to the signage.

WHEN: January 23 through January 26 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (daily)

WHERE: Dock St, Cary St., Main St. and 17th Street at the point where the CSX trestle passes over them. (in the 6th voter district)

BACKGROUND: CSX crews to replace rails on the eastern leg of the tracks as they approach Main St Station. Road will be closed at 9 p.m. and reopened when work is completed for the night, but no later than 5 a.m..

Detours will be marked. The preferred route will be 14th St to Broad St to 21st St.
