Lane Closure – Various Locations

WHAT:  Lane Closures
 
WHEN:  May 16 through May 27 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: The following corridors

·         North Arthur Ashe Boulevard and I-95 off ramp (2nd voter district)

o   The contractor will be installing CCTV equipment and working adjacent to the eastbound lanes of traffic

·         Chamberlayne Avenue ( 3rd voter district)

o   The contractor will be installing traffic signal and fiber optic conduits on and across Chamberlayne Avenue from Edgehill Road to West Brookland Park Boulevard

·         Main Street from 15th Street to Pear Street (7th voter district)

o   The contractor will be installing fiber optic cable along Main Street from 15th Street to Pear Street

o   The contractor will be installing GPS TPS wire on 18th, 19th, and 20th streets

o   The contractor will be working adjacent to the eastbound lanes of traffic

·         Patterson Avenue and Hamilton Street

o   The contractor will be installing fiber and messenger cable on Patterson Avenue & Hamilton Street to the Alley South of Cary Street and Nanesmond Avenue

 

BACKGROUND:  The curb lane and sidewalk will be temporarily closed to allow the contractor to work in the aforementioned areas. This work is part of the traffic signal system expansion project.
