                        Street Closure – Canal Street between 7th and 8th streets

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Begins Friday, August 7 at 6 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, August 10 at 5 a.m.

WHERE:  Canal Street between 7th and 8th streets

BACKGROUND:  Canal Street will be closed in the aforementioned area to allow for demolition of the pedestrian bridge. This closure is needed as heavy equipment will be placed on Canal Street in order to remove the bridge. Motorist are urged to follow the detour signage.
