                                          Street Closure – North 9th Street

WHAT:  Street Closure
 
WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 22 and ending at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 24

WHERE: North 9th Street between Grace and Broad streets (located in the 6th voter districts)

BACKGROUND:  The area will be closed to allow the Virginia Department of General Services to install a pedestrian covered walkway on the west side of North 9th Street between Grace and Broad streets. Upon completion of the walkway installation, North 9th Street will become a single lane in the northbound direction for the duration of construction for the General Assembly Parking Deck.

BACKGROUND:  To improve signal head visibility at traffic signals, there will be intermittent lane closures in the areas listed above for tree trimming and tree removal. This work is part of the Systemic Sight Distance Improvements at Traffic Signals Project.
