WHEN:  Wednesday, May 4 through Thursday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

WHERE: Locations in the 1st, 2nd and 6th voter districts:

·         Cary Street between Jefferson Street and Foushee Street

·         Grace Street at Monroe Street

·         Monument Avenue at Thompson Street

BACKGROUND:  There will be intermittent lane closures to allow the contactor to perform soil testing, roadway trenching and junction box installations in the sidewalk.

BACKGROUND:  There will be intermittent lane closures in the areas listed above for tree pruning. This work is part of the Systemic Sight Distance Improvements at Signalized Intersections Project to improve traffic signal visibility and help reduce crashes.

BACKGROUND:  The curb lane and sidewalk will be temporarily closed to allow the contractor to install connecting fiber optic cable. This work is part of the traffic signal system expansion project.

BACKGROUND:  The curb lane and sidewalk will be temporarily closed to allow the contractor to install new equipment in the traffic signal cabinets along the corridors in the aforementioned areas. The contractor will be working adjacent to the northbound lanes of traffic. This work is part of the traffic signal system expansion project.
