                      Lane Closure – Manchester Bridge

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Friday, August 1 through Sunday, February 15, 2015

WHERE:  Northbound and southbound lanes of Manchester Bridge (Route 60)

BACKGROUND:  There will be intermittent lane closures in the aforementioned area to allow for deck patching, joint and railing repairs, access for painting and steel repairs and installation of pavement markings.

Cofer Road at Jeff Davis Closed Aug. 8 for paving

Starting Thursday, Aug. 7 at 8 a.m., Cofer Road will be closed to through traffic at its intersection with Jefferson Davis Highway for 24 hours for paving. The rain date for this work would be Aug. 8.

During the closure, traffic turning onto Cofer Road from Jefferson Davis Highway and vehicles entering Jefferson Davis Highway from Cofer Road will be detoured to Cofer by way of Hopkins Road and Terminal Avenue off Jefferson Davis Highway. No driveways or sidewalks will be impacted.

The purpose of this project is to restore drainage to Cofer Road and Jefferson Davis Highway and prevent flooding from occurring at this intersection.

WHERE:  25^th Street between S. Street and M. Street

BACKGROUND:  The aforementioned area will be closed to allow for road milling and repaving.

WHEN:  Friday, July 25 through Monday, July 28, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

WHERE:  The following areas will be impacted by the closure:

·         East Main Street between 7^th Street and 9^th Street

·         8^th Street between Franklin Street and East Main Street

BACKGROUND:  The streets will be closed in the aforementioned area to allow for operation of a crane at 705 E. Main St.
