Starting
Thursday, Aug. 7 at 8 a.m., Cofer Road will be closed to through traffic at its
intersection with Jefferson Davis Highway for 24 hours for paving. The rain
date for this work would be Aug. 8.
During
the closure, traffic turning onto Cofer Road from Jefferson Davis Highway and
vehicles entering Jefferson Davis Highway from Cofer Road will be detoured to
Cofer by way of Hopkins Road and Terminal Avenue off Jefferson Davis Highway.
No driveways or sidewalks will be impacted.
The
purpose of this project is to restore drainage to Cofer Road and Jefferson
Davis Highway and prevent flooding from occurring at this intersection.
