WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Monday, June 23 through Monday, June 30, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE:  Clopton Street between Hull Street Road and Bainbridge Street
BACKGROUND:  There will be alternating lane closures in the aforementioned area to allow for milling and repaving.

WHERE:  Hull Street Road between Belt Boulevard and Chippenham Parkway
BACKGROUND:  There will be alternating lane closures in the aforementioned area to allow for milling and repaving.

N. 18th Between E Grace and E Franklin

100 block of N. 18th Street between E. Grace and E. Franklin streets in Shockoe Bottom has been closed this morning - Tuesday, June 11 -- for a water main break and buckling pavement.

27th Street and Perry

Starting the week of June 10, weather permitting, the Department of Public Utilities’ contractor will be making drainage repairs on 27th Street near the intersection with Perry Street. Cavitations have formed under the street that will require 27th Street to be closed to through traffic for approximately 10 working days.

Construction consists of installation of a manhole, a trapped inlet, storm drain lines, and pavement restoration. Cavitations under the street will be filled and the street restored. Work is expected to be complete by June 24.

Flood Wall Street Closings June 7-14

Every year, the Department of Public Utilities tests the flood walls by opening and closing each one of them. This year's tests run from Saturday, June 7 to Friday, June 14.

Saturday, June 7
May Bridge at Hull Street, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hull Street northbound from Commerce Road will be closed.

Sunday, June 8
Mayo Bridge at 14th Street, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. S. 14th Street southbound at Dock Street will be closed.

Monday, June 9
Brander Street, 9-11 a.m. The entrance to Brander Street, which leads only to the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Ancarrow's boat landing, will be closed at the end of Maury Street.

Tuesday, June 10
S. 12th and E. Byrd 7-9 a.m. E. Bryd Street between S. 12th and Virginia Street will be closed.

Tuesday, June 10
Dock Street, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Dock Street from 18th to 21st will be closed.

Wednesday, June 11
21st Street and Cary at the Holocaust Museum, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Cary Street between S. 20th and 22nd will be closed.

Friday, June 14, Goodes Street off Commerce Road, 9-11 a.m. Goode Street will be restricted to one lane at the CSX crossing.

010 Block of S. 7th Street

The 010 block of S. 7th Street downtown between E. Cary and E. Main streets will have inside lanes closed June 3-10 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This will impact commuting hours. This project involves the repair of a sanitary sewer main, a manhole, and a water repair. Expect traffic delays.

6300-6400 Blocks of Patterson

From June 2-6, the 6300-6400 blocks of Patterson Avenue will be reduced to single lanes going east and west from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., while DPU repairs a sanitary sewer. Expect traffic delays and bottlenecks because lanes will be closed during commuting hours.
