Starting the week
of June 10, weather permitting, the Department of Public Utilities’ contractor
will be making drainage repairs on 27th Street near the intersection
with Perry Street. Cavitations have formed under the street that will require
27th Street to be closed to through traffic for approximately 10
working days.
Construction consists
of installation of a manhole, a trapped inlet, storm drain lines, and pavement
restoration. Cavitations under the street will be filled and the street
restored. Work is expected to be complete by June 24.
Your cooperation
and understanding are appreciated. Questions or concerns should be addressed to
Howard Glenn, Storm Water Operations Manager at telephone 646-1920.
