WHEN: Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, November 19 and
ending at 5 a.m. on Monday, November 22
WHERE: The following streets (in the 6th voter district):

WB Broad Street between College and 9th
streets
·
EB Broad Street between 8th and 12th
streets
·
10th Street between Broad and Marshall
streets
·
11th Street between Broad and Marshall
streets
BACKGROUND: The areas listed above will
be closed to remove the construction tower crane from the Children’s Pavilion
located at 1001 East Marshall Street. Please follow the detour signs.
Note: I-95 exit traffic will be routed from Broad to College to 13th to Duvall to 10th Street

The City of Richmond Department of
Public Works (DPW) is one of only 178 currently accredited public works
agencies in the United States. DPW’s portfolio
comprises a wide array of services to include leaf collection; street, sidewalk
and alley maintenance; trash collection; recycling; grass cutting;
graffiti removal; parking enforcement; urban forestry; street signs;
traffic signals and pavement markings and civil engineering. In addition, DPW
maintains upkeep on most city buildings; issues permits for working in the
city’s right-of-way; manages the RVA Bike Share program and maintains the fleet
of city vehicles. DPW’s operating budget comes from the general fund of
