Starting Wednesday,
May 28, weather permitting, the Department of Public Utilities’ contractor will
be making repairs to the storm drain located in the southwest corner of Brook
Road at its intersection with Laburnum Avenue. The parking lane and one lane of
Laburnum will be closed during construction. For 2-3 days, one southeast lane
on Faquier Avenue and one southbound lane on Brook will be closed in order to
repair cavitations in the intersection.
Construction is
estimated to take a maximum of three weeks to complete and consists of
installation of a manhole, replacement of several drop inlets, laying several
storm drain pipes, pouring curb and gutter, and restoring cavitations. Work
should be completed by June 19.
