                       Street Closure – 17^th Street  

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Tuesday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: The intersection of 17^th Street at Cary Street  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed for paving of the cycle track. Through traffic on Cary Street will be detoured around the intersection. Local traffic will be permitted for access to the on-street parking and parking lots in the area. The local traffic will be detoured through the Main Street parking lot to exit onto Main Street. The Mega Buses that serve Main Street Station will be temporarily served on Main Street. Please use caution and follow the traffic signs.

                       Street Closure – 17^th Street  

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 and ending at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 14

WHERE: The intersection of 17^th Street at Cary Street  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to excavate the street for construction of the cycle track. Through traffic on Cary Street will be detoured around the intersection. Local traffic will be permitted for access to the on-street parking and parking lots in the area. The local traffic will be detoured through the Main Street parking lot to exit onto Main Street. The Mega Buses that serve Main Street Station will be temporarily served on Main Street. Please use caution and follow the traffic signs.

WHEN:  Friday, May 11 through Friday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

WHERE:

·         Hanover Avenue from Three Chopt Road to Pepper Avenue

·         Ripley Avenue from Hanover Avenue to Patterson Avenue

·         Kensington Avenue from Three Chopt Road to Orchard Road

·         Orchard Road from Kensington Avenue to Stuart Avenue

·         Stuart Avenue from Three Chopt Road and Orchard Road

·         Wessex Lane from Chantecler Avenue to the dead end

·         Barcroft Lane from Honaker Avenue to the dead end

BACKGROUND: There will be alternating lane closures in the aforementioned areas for paving. Please follow the road signs.

BACKGROUND: A vehicle accident on Hopkins Road at the cemetery has forced the aforementioned area to close. The road will be closed for several hours. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.
