WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 12 and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 23

WHERE:  North Avenue between Gladstone and Crawford avenues

BACKGROUND:  North Avenue between Gladstone and Crawford avenues will be closed to work on the sidewalk. The street will open for morning, evening and overnight travel. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

                                         Lane Closure – Nicholson Street at Williamsburg Avenue  

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14 and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 23  

WHERE:  Nicholson Street at the intersection of Williamsburg Avenue

BACKGROUND:  The curb lane and one travel lane at the intersection of Nicholson Street and Williamsburg Avenue will be closed intermittently to install new traffic signals and to install pedestrian crossing enhancements. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Saturday, September 10 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

WHERE:  North 11^th Street between Clay and Leigh streets

BACKGROUND:  The parking lane and one travel lane on the eastbound side of North 11^th Street between Clay and Leigh streets will be closed to set a crane for work on the building at 513 North 11^th Street. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6 and ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 7  

WHERE:  Belvidere Street Bridge over Brook Road and CSX

BACKGROUND:  There will be intermittent lane closures to upgrade the sidewalk and replace the guardrail leading up to the Belvidere Street Bridge. Follow road signage.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 2 and ending at 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 6

WHERE:  Shafer Street

BACKGROUND:  Shafter Street from 900 West Franklin Street to the alley will be closed to address a safety issue with the building. Observe road signage.

Valley Road Closed until Nov. 7

Valley Road between Hospital Street and the Richmond Henrico Turnpike will be closed around the clock, seven days a week beginning Sept. 6 until Nov. 7 for water main work. Detours will be marked.
