Roads Closed, No Parking for Richmond Folk Festival

The Richmond Folk Festival, a cultural music event, will change traffic with numerous road closures and “No Parking” zones in effect on Friday, September 27, at 4 p.m., resulting in vehicles being towed.

 

The music event will close streets including Tredegar Street and roads near Brown’s Island.

 

“No Parking” zones and road closures will go into effect Friday at 4 p.m. Roads will re-open, and parking will again be permitted at approximately 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 29.

Run Richmond 16.19 Road Closures and No Parking Zones

Run Richmond 16.19, a cultural running event, will bring changes to traffic with numerous road closures and “No Parking” zones in effect on Saturday, September 21, at 12 a.m., resulting in vehicles being towed.

The running event will close streets including the 14th Street (Mayo) Bridge, portions of East Main Street, several streets in Shockoe Bottom, the T. Tyler Potterfield footbridge to Brown’s Island and several roads from Tredegar Street to Jackson Ward.

“No Parking” zones will go into effect in the early morning hours of Saturday with road closures beginning at 6 a.m. Please note the site of the start and finish of the event, East Byrd Street, will close to traffic at 4 a.m. Roads will re-open, and parking will again be permitted at approximately 1 p.m.
