WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Monday, November 4 through Wednesday, March 3 2021

WHERE:  Hull Street between 4th and 5th streets (located in the 6th voter district)

BACKGROUND: One eastbound lane of Hull Street between 4th and 5th streets will be closed for the construction of a six-story mixed used development and parking garage. Motorists are urged to drive safely and follow the road signs.

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  
·         Starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 and ending at 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 7
·         Starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 and ending at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 8

WHERE: West Cary Street between North Nansemond and South Belmont (in the 5th voter district)

BACKGROUND:  There has been a great deal of concern regarding the milling and paving of West Cary Street. The City of Richmond talked to our contractor and the President of the Merchants Association Mr. Kamran Shaikh on how to resolve the paving concerns. We all agreed on the following solution – the contractor will pave West Cary Street between North Nansemond and South Belmont at night, weather permitting. There will be no on street parking allowed during the times listed above. This area should be open to on street parking by 9 a.m. on Friday, November 8. Note: there will be milling operations going on in other area of West Cary Street during day time hours with alternating lane closures. Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the traffic control signage.

·         Gloucester Road between Westwood Avenue and Brookland Parkway

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed to allow a crane to replace a cooling tower at 403 North 13th Street. Motorists are urged to use caution and observe the traffic control signage.
