WHERE: Ramp from Semmes Avenue onto the Manchester Bridge

BACKGROUND: The northbound ramp of the aforementioned area will be closed to perform a mandatory bridge inspection.  Please observe the work zone signage and follow the detour signs.

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 28 through Thursday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: The Intersection of Grove Avenue at North Thompson Street  

BACKGROUND: North Thompson Street at the south side of Grove Avenue will be closed to through traffic to excavate and install traffic signal foundations. Work will occur during off-peak hours to leave the streets open for the morning and evening rush hour. North and southbound traffic will be detoured around the work zone. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to allow re-striping of the travel lanes adjacent to the work zone. Access to Tredegar Street will be maintained. Through traffic should remain on the Lee Bridge. The street will remain closed for the duration of the striping. Please observe the work zone signage and follow the detour signs.

WHERE: Hopkins Road between Holly Spring Avenue and Jefferson Davis Highway

BACKGROUND: The area will be closed through traffic during reconstruction of the railroad grade crossing by CSX and the subsequent repaving of the approaches         

DETOURS: Detours will be in place utilizing Cofer Road to the south and Holly Spring Avenue and Maury Street to the north. Motorists are urged to observe work zone signage, follow detours and drive carefully.

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to erect a tower crane at 0 West Marshall Street.  There will be a short closure on West Marshall Street between Brook Road and North Adams to deliver the crane and for trucks to leave the site. Alley access for properties on both sides of this closure will be maintained. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.
