                       Street Closure – Tazewell Street

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Monday, March 5 and Tuesday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Tazewell Street between Overbrook and West Graham Road

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to install curb ramps at the corner of Overbrook Road and Tazewell Street. The street will reopen at the end of the day. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 26 and ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27

WHERE: North Jefferson Street between West Broad and West Grace streets  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to allow a crane to place materials onto the roof at 200 West Grace Street. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Saturday, February 24 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE: East Grace Street between 7^th and 8^th streets 

BACKGROUND: The sidewalk and travel lanes of the aforementioned area will be closed while a crane is used to replace cooling towers on the Verizon building at 703 East Grace Street. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Monday, February 12 thru Wednesday, February 14, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: 2^nd Street between Brown’s Island Way and Spring Street  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed during set-up of an on-site crane at the War Memorial project. Access to Tredegar Street will be maintained.  Through traffic should remain on the Lee Bridge.  The street will remain closed for the duration of the crane set-up. Motorist should observe signage and follow detours as needed.

Street Closure – Idlewood Avenue and Belvidere Street Off-Ramp - NEW Completion Date

Note: Due to weather conditions, Idlewood Avenue and the off ramp will remain closed until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6.

                      Street Closure – Idlewood Avenue and Belvidere Street Off-Ramp

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 29 through ending at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6

WHERE:

·         Idlewood Avenue from Harrison to Cherry streets and

·         Belvidere Street off ramp at the I-195 Downtown Expressway  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned areas will be closed to complete the final stages of paving and to convert two-way traffic and pavement markings for the roundabout construction at the intersection of Idlewood Avenue, Grayland Avenue and the I-195 off ramp. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.
