                       Street Closure – Terminal Avenue

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31 and ending at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 1

WHERE: Terminal Avenue between East Belt Boulevard and Hopkins Road  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed at the CSX Railroad to make repairs to the crossing. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.

                       Lane Closure – Forest Hill Avenue

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Tuesday, February 6 through Friday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Forest Hill Avenue between Hathaway Road and Powhite Parkway 

BACKGROUND: One lane of the aforementioned area will be closed to cut trees and move power lines. This work is part of the Forest Hill Avenue Improvement Project. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

Hermitage Road Jan 29-Feb 1 Lane Closures

Starting Monday, Jan 29, northbound lanes of 700-900 blocks of Hermitage Road will be closed for large service installation most of the week from 9-5. This is an industrial area from W Broad to W Leigh

                      Street Closure – Idlewood Avenue and Belvidere Street Off-Ramp

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 29 through ending at 4 p.m. on Friday, February 2

WHERE:

·         Idlewood Avenue from Harrison to Cherry streets and

·         Belvidere Street off ramp at the I-95 Downtown Expressway  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned areas will be closed to complete the final stages of paving and to convert two-way traffic and pavement markings for the roundabout construction at the intersection of Idlewood Avenue, Grayland Avenue and the I-95 off ramp. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Monday, January 22 through Friday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: South 7^th Street between Canal and Cary streets  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to allow excavation to install a new duct bank to provide power to the new Dominion Resources building at 600 East Canal Street. Note: the street will be open for the morning commute. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

                       Street Closure – Manchester Bridge on ramp from Semmes Avenue

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Street Closure

WHEN:  Thursday, January 11 through Thursday, January 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Manchester Bridge on ramp from Semmes Avenue  

BACKGROUND: There will be intermittent, short term closures of the aforementioned area to allow delivery of building materials for the adjacent construction site. When closures are in place, traffic will be detoured down 7^th Street and over to Commerce Road to access the bridge. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.
