WHERE: 18^th Street between Main and Cary streets

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed to make pothole repairs. Please use caution and follow the traffic signs.

                       Lane Closure – Forest Hill Avenue

WHO:  City of Richmond Department of Public Works

WHAT:  Lane Closure

WHEN:  Thursday, October 5 through Monday, February 5, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Forest Hill Avenue between Hathaway Road and Powhite Parkway  

BACKGROUND: One lane of the aforementioned area will be closed to cut trees and move power lines. This work is part of the Forest Hill Avenue Improvement Project. Please use caution and follow the road signs.

Lane Closures on E Broad from 10th to 14th

Starting Monday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m., E. Broad Street will be reduced to one eastbound lane from 10th to 14th streets. No u-turns will be permitted.

VDOT will not have access to the front of their office building.

This closure is due to a large cavitation in the area and may take days-weeks to repair.

WHEN:  Starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 23 and ending at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 24

WHERE: South 14^th Street between East Cary Street and the alley

BACKGROUND: The sidewalk and curb lane will be closed in the aforementioned area to repair mounted signs on the building at 14 South 14^th Street. Please use caution and follow the traffic signs.

WHEN:  Friday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Roseneath Road between West Leigh and West Moore streets  

BACKGROUND: The aforementioned area will be closed while a crane performs work at 11500 Roseneath Road. Please use caution and follow the detour signs.

Daytime Closures on Elko Road in Henrico for Utility Work

Beginning Tuesday, Sept.5, Elko Road (Route 156) will be closed weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to through traffic between Elko Tract Road (Route 380) and White Oak Road for Richmond Gas Works utility lines. The road will reopen each evening for overnight travel. The work is expected to be complete by the end of October.

Drivers can use the posted detour during the daytime closures:
Northbound Elko Rd. (Rt. 156):
Take Elko Tract Rd. (Rt. 380) west
to Technology Blvd. south to
Portugee Rd. east back to Elko Rd.
(Rt. 156).

Southbound Elko Rd. (Rt. 156):
Take Portugee Rd. west to
Technology Blvd. north to Elko
Tract Rd. (Rt. 380) east back to Elko
Rd. (Rt. 156).
